Dave's Photo Gallery

Here are a few pictures of Dave and his cats.

Welcome

Dave cornered in the foyer of his home. Note the friendly, welcoming signs that he has posted around the place.

Rascal

Dave holds Rascal, a 12 year old male orange and white tabby cat. Dave adopted Rascal in 1991, soon after moving into his current home. Rascal is a real slut for attention and loves to be held. Rascal enjoys food almost as much as Dave does. They're both getting grumpier in their old age, as well.

Velvet

Dave holds Velvet, a four year old female black tabby cat. Velvet has very fine red tabby markings visible in her fur, although they'd never show up in any picture resolution available online. She also has a small white diamond on her throat. Velvet was adopted as a kitten in late 1991 to keep Rascal company while Dave is at work. Velvet was found abandoned as a very young kitten, and she may never recover fully from that ordeal. Greg has affectionately nicknamed her "The Demon from Hell" because of her sudden, insanely violent tendencies.

Dave holds Velvet in one of her rare calmer moments. This moment lasted several nanoseconds before Velvet tired of it and started violently scrambling to get away. Velvet can be very affectionate when she is ready. In fact, she curled up at Dave's feet purring while he grabbed these frames from the videotape.

Update: Rascal disappeared in 1999. Velvet passed away in 2004. Dave's current cat is named Rusty.
